Okay girls, this is the hotel that I stayed at this summer. It was very clean, great friendly staff, awesome breakfast, and super location. Anyway, everyone take a look at the link. There will be more suggestions down the road...I have only just started....yay!
Royal Hotel in Munich Germany
Ok, I read one review with this warning:
ReplyDeleteThe BIG minus is that in mid-summer, the rooms can get very hot. We were sweltering! I didn't have a thermometer on me, but I'd guesstimate the temperature in the room easily hit 90+ F, which combined with very high humidity is NOT pleasant. After suffering with fans etc. for a couple of nights, we asked for a referral to a hotel with air conditioning and they suggested the Astor, just up the street, which was a Godsend. We might want to stick to early May
There is a $300-$400 price difference in tickets between May and July or August. I think we need to go in May either before Johnny's Confirmation or after.
ReplyDeleteI thought we were going in May...either before Johnny's confirmation or after in early June...which is when I was there...June 10-12...it was warm but not bad...if we go in August...i would suggest a different place...
ReplyDeleteI checked out July because Rick asked me to consider going in the summer so his kids could go.
ReplyDeleteThis is from the link from Nancy's post
ReplyDeleteMay is full of annual events, spring and summer festivals and many music festivals. In this month Germany is really beautiful, full of color and interesting places to visit. The most important events are the Munich Spring festival, the Bodensee Festival on Lake Constance in Friedrichshafen, the Dresden Music Festival and the Asparagus Festival in Darmstadt.
